When your horse has a powerful hind-leg stride, ordinary bell boots can quickly scuff, tear, or twist out of position during intense training sessions. The Centaur® PVC Ribbed Double Hook & Loop Bell Boots are engineered to provide maximum structural fortification against aggressive overreaching, preventing costly pulled shoes and painful heel-bulb injuries. By utilizing a specialized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound instead of standard low-grade rubber, these boots offer enhanced structural memory, higher tear resistance, and exceptional impact-dampening capabilities.
The defensive layout of the boot relies on a series of molded, vertical exterior ribs. These deep ridges act as geometric micro-bumpers, catching direct strikes from stray hooves and actively dispersing the impact force outward rather than allowing it to compress against the horse’s delicate coronary band. The interior wall is completely smooth, working in tandem with a softly rolled top collar to prevent friction rubs across the pastern skin during deep joint flexion.
Designed for rapid, daily on/off utility without sacrificing security, this model features a split-front architecture governed by an industrial-grade double hook-and-loop closure system. The primary wide horizontal Velcro flap wraps tightly across the front seam, while a secondary locking flap seals securely directly over it. This redundant locking design ensures the boots remain firmly anchored in place, refusing to peel open even when tracking through deep arena footing, thick grass, or muddy turnout paddocks.
